Design the EVENT KIT 2012 show, last years event kit was the Moose.
The event kit is a small set (no more than 100 pieces) that we will use to commerate the event. It should be an original design and you may submit a photo or CAD of the model.
To submit an Event Kit idea, post a link to your photos of your creation in the this forum thread. Post in other threads will not count. You may enter the maximum of 3 times. Deadline for the event kit is Jan. 31st, 2012. The winner must provide detail photos of their submission, or a CAD file, so we can make building instructions of the idea. The winner will receive credit in the 2012 program, a 50 dollar LEGO gift card and a complimentary Event Kit. Prizes will be awarded during the 2012 event, if the winner can not attend, their prizes will be sent to them after the event at our expense.

Lego Sunglasses is my son's idea for the 2012 Event Kit Build. Pics are below. He indicates that the design pictured is for a kid sized shades - they can be sized for larger faces by including one more vertical row of bricks on either side of the frame, including lenses. Please note that the designer for this is Sammy Hankins - email is julie@searchpointsourcing.com

Please note (the following has been added to the rule page)

They are OK, I guess.
The colour of the CN tower is not what I would expect when I think Cement Tower
For a blue Jay, the #3 entry is again, not quite the right colours, and why is that white bear eating a fish? Black bears eat cans of soup I trek into Algonquin Park even after I put my food in the tree

Busker, do you have a pic of the polar bears butt? Not sure how it is designed and I'm curious.
Uh Chris, I think that "blue jay" is a "chickadee" and I think your city let all the pigeons eat them.

Chris, I would agree with you regarding the CN Tower, and I initially made it using light gray. But it didn't really look right to me, and some photos make it actually seem a little more tan than gray.
Janey, pdf and mpd files can be found at the bottom of this page:

They should give you all the construction info you need.

Tell that to Janey. I had to get into a fist fight with her, and sadly I lost. she hits HARD!!!!
I'm like you can't make it grey cause the bricks are too shiny and won't look like cement.
and shes like Duh Chris, grey is grey, and cement is Grey
and Im like your wrong
and she is like
POW - right in the kisser.
it hurt
Thus ending the argument

So - my last 'spamming' post, I promise!
Just wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to submit, and that I am excited for Brickfete this year.
I want to reiterate that once again, I'm not sure if all of the pieces in my kit are still in production - not sure how to check - but will understand if it is disqualified.
That being said, it is designed to be exactly 100 pieces, including the baseplate.
